23-year-old’s Arsenal move ‘95% done’ after completing medical
According to Bleacher Report, Sead Kolasinac’s free transfer move from Schalke to Arsenal is ‘95% done’ after he completed his medical tests.
Kolasinac has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates in recent months after he rejected the chance to sign a new contract extension with Schalke.
With his current deal set to expire in June, the 23-year-old has been holding talks with a number of clubs since January and it appears he’s now settled on a switch to Arsenal.
Widespread reports in the media recently have suggested Kolasinac is bound for north London with the Metro claiming earlier this month that he had agreed terms with Arsenal over a four year contract.
Bleacher Report go one further today after claiming a source has told them Kolasinac’s move to the Emirates is ‘95% done’ after he completed his medical tests ahead of joining the club on June 30th.
It’s suggested that the Bosnian international will be Arsenal’s first choice left-back next season amid rumours Nacho Monreal could be heading back to Spain at the end of the season.
Arsene Wenger has publicly said he wants Kieran Gibbs to sign a new deal with his contract approaching it’s final 12 months, so it looks like Monreal may be the one to leave once Kolasinac joins.
He’s been one of the best full-backs in the Bundesliga this season so he’ll be a superb signing on a free transfer and I think he’ll be a big upgrade on Monreal – who’s struggled for consistent form this year.

Obviously we shouldn’t get too excited until it’s announced on Arsenal.com but all the signs suggest Kolasinac is on the verge of joining Arsenal and it looks like he’ll be our first major signing of the summer.
