[Photos] Sanchez & Wilshere in full training with Arsenal ahead of Stoke
Alexis Sanchez and Jack Wilshere both took part in full training with the rest of the Arsenal squad today ahead of our trip to Stoke City this weekend.
Sanchez missed the opening Premier League win over Leicester City last Friday night due to an abdominal strain that he picked up in training on the eve of our Community Shield win over Chelsea.
Arsene Wenger suggested at his press conference earlier this week that Sanchez would be just short of fitness for the game tomorrow but was hopeful he’d be fit to face Liverpool next week.
However, it looks like Sanchez is doing everything to put himself in contention for the trip to Stoke as he took part in full training today with the rest of the squad and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was named on the bench tomorrow.
Wilshere has been working his way back to fitness after suffering a fractured leg while on loan at Bournemouth last season and he stepped-up his recovery by playing 73 minutes for the Under-23’s earlier this week.
Jack was also in training today with the first team squad but he has no chance to be involved tomorrow and he’ll continue to work on his fitness with the youth side with another run out on Monday night.
