[Photos] Arsenal handed fitness boost as duo train ahead of Huddersfield clash
The Arsenal squad have been undertaking their final preparations on the training pitch at London Colney ahead of our Premier League clash with Huddersfield tomorrow night.
Arsene Wenger revealed at his pre-match press conference this morning that Alex Iwobi was expected to be ruled out after picking up a dead leg against Burnley at the weekend.
Mesut Ozil was also due to be assessed at London Colney this afternoon after missing the trip to Turf Moor on Sunday after waking up feeling unwell on the morning of the game.
However, it looks like the duo could be in contention to face Huddersfield as Iwobi and Ozil were both able to take part in full training today.
Iwobi didn’t feature prominently in the official club photographs so that could be a sign that he still might not be involved tomorrow night but his dead leg doesn’t appear to be serious.
Ozil could be the man to replace Iwobi in the starting eleven if he’s deemed fit enough to start although Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck are other options for Wenger.
It means we have a strong squad available heading in to a busy period with Santi Cazorla our only major absentee so we’re looking in great shape right now.
