[Photos] Arsenal handed huge double injury boost as duo train ahead of Chelsea
Arsenal appear to have been handed a huge double injury boost with Granit Xhaka and Shkodran Mustafi taking part in full training ahead of our trip to Chelsea.
We head to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night for the first leg of our Carabao Cup semi-final and Arsene Wenger confirmed at his press conference this morning that Xhaka and Mustafi were doubts.
Xhaka missed the FA Cup defeat at Nottingham Forest due to a groin complaint while Mustafi was also sidelined for the trip to the City Ground due to an unspecified knock.
Wenger said the pair would be assessed at London Colney today and handed late fitness tests to determine whether they were available for selection to face Chelsea tomorrow.
However, it seems the duo have handed us a boost after being able to take part in full training today so it looks like they should be in contention for the trip across London.
There availability is vitally important as Laurent Koscielny, Aaron Ramsey, Nacho Monreal, Sead Kolasinac and Olivier Giroud are all missing so we already have plenty of injury problems to deal with.
