[Photos] Arsenal handed double boost as 2 injury doubts train ahead of Chelsea clash
Arsenal have been handed a double injury boost with Aaron Ramsey and Nacho Monreal able to take part in full training today ahead of tomorrow’s night’s clash with Chelsea.
Arsene Wenger confirmed at his pre-match press conference this morning that both Ramsey and Monreal were doubts to face Chelsea as they would be handed late fitness tests before training today.
Ramsey missed the win over Crystal Palace at the weekend due to illness while Monreal was forced off during that match after picking up a minor hamstring injury.
However, it looks like the duo should be available for selection tomorrow night as Ramsey and Monreal were both able to take part in training with the rest of the first team at London Colney today.
The pair trained alongside new signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan but the Armenian international won’t make his debut against Chelsea as he played in a previous round of the League Cup at Man Utd.
Unfortunately Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck will also be unavailable tomorrow as they are just short of fitness so we’re going to have limited option in attack against the Blues.
