Video: Ostersunds 0-3 Arsenal: Ozil on target as Gunners put one foot in last-16
Arsenal all-but booked their place in the next round of the Europa League after beating Ostensunds 3-0 this evening.
We started brightly and opened the scoring inside 15 minute and it was that man Nacho Monreal again who converted after Alex Iwobi’s shot was parried by the Ostensunds keeper.
We made it 2-0 in the 24th minute and it was more poor defending from the hosts that gifted the goal with Henrik Mkhitaryan’s cross deflecting off Papagiannopoulos and in to the net.
The result was then sealed when Mkhitaryan teed-up Mesut Ozil and the German international’s shot found it’s way over the line for 3-0 – although the keeper should have done better.
David Ospina saved a stoppage time penalty to preserve the 3-0 victory ahead of next weeks second leg at the Emirates and even Arsenal can’t mess this up so we’ve all-but booked our place in the last-16.
