VIDEO: Arsenal 1-2 Dortmund: Lucky Lewandowski Punishes Gunners
We were slightly unlucky to lose 2-1 to Borussia Dortmund tonight with striker Robert Lewandowski hitting us on the break to score a late winner.
Aaron Ramsey lost the ball on the edge of his own box in the 16th minute resulting in Mkhitaryan firing home from 20 yards, but we levelled just before the break when Olivier Giroud was on hand to volley home after Weidendeller failed to deal with Sagna’s cross.
We were by far the better team in the second half and Lewandowski was lucky to stay on the field after elbowing Koscielny in the face, and typically we were punished with the Pole finishing off a flowing counter-attack in the 82nd minute.
The result leaves us level on points with Dortmund and Napoli at the top of Group F, with trips to our rivals to come. Watch the goals from the game here:
