Wenger Twitter Q&A: Boss On Wilshere, Messi or Ronaldo & ‘Joker’ Bendtner
Arsene Wenger took part in a Twitter question and answer session with fans this afternoon, using the hashtag #AskArsene.
Among the things the boss responded to was what Jack Wilshere’s best position is, to which Wenger says is a ‘deep-lying midfielder’. This is interesting as he has previously indicated he could see Jack playing in the ‘hole’ behind the striker one day and has tested him out in that role several times. The suggestion that Wilshere’s future lay further up the pitch was enhanced even more when he was giving the No.10 shirt, but it seems Wenger see’s him in a deeper role now.
A hot topic right now is who’s going to win the Ballon d’Or with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo leading the pack once again. When asked who he would choose, Arsene hinted that this could be Ronaldo’s year ahead of the Barcelona magician. No arguments from me here. Ronaldo certainly deserves the award this year.
Wenger was also quizzed on who was the funniest member of the Arsenal squad. Emmanuel Eboue used to have this one in the bag before he left and it seems Wojciech Szczesny and Nicklas Bendtner are the new jokers of the pack.
I must say I’m slightly surprised to here the ‘Great Dane’ is seen as some sort of ‘funny-man’. Lukas Podolski seems like he enjoys a joke or two, so I would have expected him to be selected ahead of the ‘best striker in the world’.
Anyway, here’s a few Q&A’s from today’s session:

Who’s the funniest player in your squad? #AskArsene @Arsenal
