TEAM NEWS: Ramsey, Wilshere + Gibbs Back, But The Ox Still Out
Arsenal take on Norwich City on Sunday on the final day of the Premier League season and we have little left to play for other than pride and preparing ourselves for the FA Cup final.
Arsene Wenger has been speaking at his pre-match press conference this morning and confirmed that Jack Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs and Aaron Ramsey will return to the squad but Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain remains out.
Wilshere has been on the sidelines for over two months with a foot injury picked up while playing for England and the boss has been being cautious with his return. However, he’s been training over the past two weeks and it looks like he’ll be in the squad on Sunday.
Hopefully Jack can get some minutes under his belt as he’d then be in contention to feature at Wembley and it will also give him the chance to prove his fitness ahead of Roy Hodgson naming his World Cup squad.
Gibbsy has missed the last five games with a hamstring problem but he’s also back in the squad this weekend and he’ll be joined by Ramsey, who missed our 1-0 win over West Brom last weekend with a minor knock.
However, The Ox will once again miss out and it’s looking increasingly unlikely he’ll be fit in time to play any part in the FA Cup final as he continue’s to recover from a groin injury. Hopefully he can make some progress next week as it would be a shame for him to miss the trip to Wembley.
