VIDEO: Individual Highlights Of Danny Welbeck’s Display For England
Danny Welbeck has played his first game since joining Arsenal from Manchester United on deadline day earlier this week.
The striker came on for the final 20 minutes of England’s 1-0 win over Norway on Wednesday night after replacing Wayne Rooney.
His major contribution came just minutes after coming on, when Welbeck collected a pass from Raheem Sterling with his back to goal on the edge of the area, controlled it first time before turning to fire a powerful shot on target which forced a decent save.
The 23-year-old also showed good movement and link-up play with Sturridge before firing a dangerous cross across the front of goal near the end.
