Revealed: Arsenal Name Player Of The Month For September
Alexis Sanchez has scooped an award double after being named as Arsenal’s player of the month for September.
The Chilean narrowly missed out on the August award to Calum Chambers but he walked it last month with just under half of the overall votes.
Arsenal have confirmed that Sanchez received 48.8% of votes, beating Jack Wilshere (14.9%) and Danny Welbeck (9.5%) into second and third respectively.
The 25-year-old enjoyed an excellent month, scoring a stunning free-kick against Southampton in the Capital One Cup which came shortly after he scored a superb volley during our 2-2 draw with Manchester City.
That goal also won the Goal of the Month prize meaning Sanchez scooped both awards in September.
