Wenger v Mourinho: Old Foes nominated for FIFA Manager of the Year
Arsene Wenger has been nominated for the 2015 FIFA World Coach of the Year Award.
The Arsenal boss enjoyed a positive season last year after retaining the FA Cup and guiding us to a third-placed finish in the Premier League.
He’s now been rewarded after being named on a 10-man shortlist for the FIFA World Coach of the Year for 2015.
Arsene will be up against some stiff competition, not least his old foe Jose Mourinho with the Chelsea boss also nominated after winning a league and cup double last year.
Some were a little surprised that Wenger was nominated for the award but it runs from November to November and we’ve actually been the best team in England so far this calendar year, so that justifies his inclusion.
Arsene isn’t going to win anyway, and neither is Mourinho [thankfully] as Luis Enrique is the favourite after winning the treble with Barcelona.
