Four Arsenal games rescheduled for live TV
Four Arsenal Premier League games have been rescheduled after being chosen for broadcast on live TV, the club confirmed today.
Our clash with fellow title challengers Leicester City has been moved from Saturday to Sunday 14th February and will now kick off at 12pm after being selected by Sky Sports.
This hasn’t proven too popular with many travelling Gooners as the fixture change comes inside the usual six week notice period, leaving those supporters who’ve already made travel arrangements and booked hotels out of pocket.
The huge North London Derby with Tottenham at White Hart Lane has also been moved to kick off at 12.45pm on March 5th, with the game now set to be shown live on BT Sport.
Our home game with West Brom will also be shown live on Sky Sports on Saturday 12th March kicking off at 5.30pm – although this will change if either team makes it through to the quarter finals of the FA Cup.
Finally, our trip to Goodison Park to take on Everton will now be shown live on BT Sport at 12.45pm on Saturday 19th March.
Here is a run-through of the fixture changes:
Arsenal v Leicester City
Sunday, February 14 (originally Saturday, February 13)
Kick-off: 12.00pm
Live on: SKY SPORTS
The Premier League usually seeks to give at least six weeks’ notice of changes to dates due to TV selections, however this is not always possible. We appreciate that this late fixture change will cause inconvenience to supporters but this decision is out of our control.
Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal
Saturday, March 5
Kick-off: 12.45pm (originally 3.00pm)
Live on: BT SPORT
Arsenal v West Bromwich Albion*
Saturday, March 12
Kick-off: 5.30pm (originally 3.00pm)
Live on: SKY SPORTS
* This fixture will be subject to any FA Cup commitments for either team
Everton v Arsenal
Saturday, March 19
Kick-off: 12.45pm (originally 3.00pm)
Now live on: BT SPORT
