[Image] Sanchez sends message to Barcelona ahead of Arsenal tie
Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez has posted a thank you message to Barcelona ahead of tonight’s huge Champions League showdown at the Emirates.
Sanchez spent three years at the Nou Camp and won 6 major trophies during his time in Spain before sealing a big-money move to Arsenal in the summer of 2014.
The Chilean international is now gearing up to face his former side for the first time since leaving the club and he’s taken to Instagram to post a message to thank the club and it’s staff for looking after him during his time in Spain.
However, not wanting to disgruntle Arsenal fans too much, Sanchez went on to say that Arsenal is now his new home and he’s happy to be part of the Gooner family.
He wrote on Instagram:
I want to thank FCB, the doctors and the physiotherapists who cared for me during my stay in Barcelona and especially the players with whom I shared beautiful moments.
But life carries on and my present is with Arsenal, my home, my family and I’m so happy to be a Gunner
Let’s hope Alexis is in the right frame of mind tonight and will be looking to show Barcelona what they’re missing as I have a feeling he’s going to play a key role if we’re to get anything positive from the game.
