Video: Arsenal 4-0 Watford: Iwobi on target as Gunners cruise
Alex Iwobi was once again on target as Arsenal cruised to a 4-0 victory over Watford at the Emirates this afternoon to close the gap on the top two.
We came flying out the blocks and opened the scoring inside the opening five minutes when Alexis Sanchez saw his header well saved following a fine ball from Iwobi but the Chilean was on hand to tap home the rebound from close range.
It was 2-0 just before half-time and it was a fantastic team goal as Francis Coquelin released Sanchez down the right and his cross found Iwobi who cooly slotted home to put us in control at the break.
The three points were secured shortly after the restart when Hector Bellerin’s left-footed volley deflected past Gomes for 3-0 in the 48th minute and Theo Walcott came off the bench to make it 4-0 with a close-range finish in stoppage time.
