Wenger offers Arsenal team news update including latest on Wilshere
Arsene Wenger has been speaking at his press conference this morning ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Crystal Palace on Sunday and he’s given reporters the latest team news.
Thankfully the boss confirmed that we’ve suffered no fresh injury concerns following last weekend’s disappointing 3-3 draw at West Ham.
It means Wenger will be able to choose from the same squad that went to Upton Park as we prepare to welcome Palace to the Emirates on Sunday afternoon.
Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky continued their injury comebacks after playing for the under-21’s during their 3-1 defeat at Swansea City yesterday and thankfully both players came through the match unscathed.
When pushed for an update on when Wilshere might be available for first team duty, Wenger said the 24-year-old will play for the under-21’s again on Monday and then he’ll assess his fitness to see if the midfielder is ready to return.
If Jack’s proves his fitness, then he could finally make his first team comeback against West Brom next Thursday or failing that, he could be in the squad that travels to Sunderland the following Sunday.
Here is what Wenger has been saying at his press conference this morning:
