[Tweets & Video] Ozil, Szczesny & Podolski troll Tottenham
Mesut Ozil, Lukaz Podolski and Wojciech Szczesny have joined thousands of Arsenal fans in trolling Tottenham after their hilarious collapse at Newcastle allowed us to steal second spot and celebrate St Totteringham’s Day for the 21st consecutive season.
We went in to the final game of the season knowing we needed to beat Aston Villa and hope for a favour from Newcastle at St James’ Park and thankfully everything fell in to place perfectly.
We ended up thrashing Villa 4-0 and in true Tottenham style, they bottled it big time after slumping to a 5-1 defeat to 10-man Newcastle allowing us to finish second behind champions Leicester.
Szczesny – on loan at Roma – posted a video of him signing the ‘It’s happened again’ song as well as posting a couple of Tweets while Ozil celebrated this fact on Twitter as well.
Former attacker Podolski showed he’s still a Gunner at heart after trolling Spurs with a St Totteringham’s Day tweet and pointing out that North London is still very much RED.
Arsenal legend Lee Dixon also got in on the action while former attacker Nicklas Bendtner also poked fun at Tottenham with a couple of Tweets.
Overall, it’s been a disappointing campaign but thankfully we ended on a positive note. Finishing second behind Leicester is nothing to cheer about but watching Spurs implode to finish below us yet again certain is….
