Video: Arsenal 4-0 Aston Villa: Happy St Totteringham’s Day!
A perfect final day of the season ended with Arsenal fans celebrating St Totteringham’s Day after we thrashed Aston Villa 4-0 while Tottenham got battered 5-1 by 10-man Newcastle.
We got off to the perfect start when Giroud powered home a header from a Monreal cross to make it 1-0 in just the 5th minute and the Frenchman made it 2-0 in the 79th minute with a neat finish from a tight angle.
Giroud’s hat-trick was sealed just two minutes later and a perfect day at the Emirates ended with Arteta coming off the bench to score a late fourth – although it may end up going down as a Bunn O.G.
Our 4-0 win combined with Spurs’ 5-1 thrashing at St James Park means we finish second and can celebrate St Totteringham’s Day for the 20 consecutive season.
