BBC Journalist offers big update on Jack Wilshere’s future
BBC journalist David Ornstien has offered a huge update on Jack Wilshere’s future and it looks as though the midfielder is set to join Bournemouth on loan.
News broke on Monday night that Wilshere was set to leave Arsenal on a season long loan deal after Arsene Wenger granted him permission to leave following crunch talks earlier this week.
Jack is understood to have expressed his concerns about a lack of playing time following the arrival of Granit Xhaka after he played just 37 minutes in our opening three games, leading to him being left out of the England squad.
The Daily Mail reported this morning that Crystal Palace were the front-runners for Wilshere’s signature but there have been plenty of twists and turns over the past few hours with Roma also understood to have been pushing hard to secure a deal.
However, it seems Jack is now set to join former Arsenal striker Benik Afobe on the South Coast as BBC journalist David Ornstien claims that the midfielder is heading to Bournemouth.
Apparently we rejected Roma’s offer as negotiations were complicated due to our previous talks over a potential deal for Kostas Manolas while Palace feel they have now lost out to the Cherries.

Roma/Arsenal deal for Wilshere not easy. #AFC angry at Roma conduct in Manolas talks this summer. Still hope for #CPFC & #AFCB #DeadlineDay

I still think it’s a mistake letting a player of Wilshere’s quality leave on loan as it’s weakening our squad but Bournemouth should be a good move for him so hopefully he’ll get a full season under his belt and come back to Arsenal better for it.
