Arsenal star up against Chelsea & Spurs players for POTM award
Arsenal attacker Theo Walcott has been nominated for the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month Award for October.
Theo has enjoyed a superb start to the new season and was nominated for the September Player of the Month before missing out to Tottenham’s Hueng-min Son.
However, the attacker could have more luck this time around after being nominated for the October PFA Fans’ award having scored three times and picked up an assist last month.
Walcott kicked off October by setting up our vital winner at Burnley before scoring two goals during our 3-2 victory over Swansea City at the Emirates and then got himself on the score-sheet during our thrashing of Ludogorets in the Champions League.
As always, Theo will face some stiff competition for the POTM award as he’ll be up against Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard – who also scored three goals and an assist last month -and Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli.
Southampton’s Charlie Austin, Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson and Stoke City’s Joe Allen complete the six-man shortlist with the winner due to be announced tomorrow.
