International teams: Mustafi starts but Arsenal quartet benched
The interlull continues tonight and there are a number of Arsenal players in action for their nations across the globe.
Theo Walcott remains on the bench for England as they take on Spain in their friendly at Wembley while on-loan midfielder Jack Wilshere is also among the substitutes.
Nacho Monreal started for Spain last week but he drops to the bench for tonight’s game so will be well rested ahead of the Man Utd trip on Saturday.
England: Hart, Clyne, Rose, Dier, Cahill, Stones, Sterling, Henderson, Vardy, Lingard, Lallana
Subs: Heaton, Pickford, Walker, Cresswell, Bertrand, Jagielka, Keane, Wilshere, Townsend, Walcott, Rashford, Sturridge
Spain: Reina, Carvajal, Martinez, Nacho, Azpilicueta, Busquets, Mata, Thiago, Vitolo, Silva, Aduriz
Subs: Bartra, Morata, Nolito, Callejon, Roberto, Herrera, Koke, Isco, Asenjo, Monreal, De Gea, Aspas
Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud have both been rested as France entertain the Ivory Coast this evening but Shkodran Mustafi starts for Germany during their friendly against Italy.
France: Costil; Sidibé, Varane, Rami, Digne; Rabiot, Kanté, Pogba; Dembele, Payet, Gameiro.
Subs: Evra, Mangala, Fekir, Corchia, Giroud, Koscielny, Mandana, Lloris, Sissoko, Matuidi, Lemar.
Germany: Leno – Mustafi, Höwedes, Hummels, Gerhardt, Goretzka, Müller, Rudy, Weigl, Kimmich, Gündogan.
It’s good to see so many of our players not playing tonight as they’ll get a good rest before the United game. Let’s just hope Alexis Sanchez is also left out by Chile later this evening….
