Ozil celebrates ‘lucky’ point v Man Utd as Arsenal boys react online
Mesut Ozil has admitted we were fortunate to come away with anything from Old Trafford after Olivier Giroud scored late on to rescue a 1-1 draw against Manchester United this afternoon.
We were well below our best as the players once again bottled it at Old Trafford and it looked as though we were heading to yet another defeat when Juan Mata swept home the opener midway through the second half.
However, United couldn’t fine the second goal to kill the game and we made them pay when substitute Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain found Giroud with a superb cross with the Frenchman slamming home a header to salvage a barely deserved point.
Ozil has now described it as a ‘lucky punch’ after admitting we weren’t at our best today on Twitter after the game while the likes of Oxlade-Chamberlain, Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez have also posted messages on the social media site.
Laurent Koscielny and Carl Jenkinson have also taken to Instagram to share their thoughts on the result as we remained fourth in the table and two points adrift of leaders Liverpool.
Here is what the boys have been up to online:
