Preston v Arsenal selected for live TV, date/time confirmed
Arsenal’s FA Cup third round clash with Preston North End has been selected to be shown live on BT Sport with the game now kicking off on Saturday January 7th at 5.30pm.
We were drawn to play the Championship outfit at Deepdale following Monday night’s third round draw and we’ll now be in front of the BT Sport camera’s once again next month.
Arsenal haven’t played Preston since 1999, when Nwankwo Kanu and Stefan Malz were on target to secure a 2-1 victory in a League Cup third round tie at Highbury.
It will be a tricky game as Preston are sitting just outside the play off positions in the Championship table and I’ll be expecting a proper FA Cup atmosphere when we face-off against them next month.
Let’s hope we can book our place in the fourth round and put another cup run together after lifting the trophy twice in the previous three seasons.
