[Video] Alexis Sanchez confirms he’s ‘really happy’ at Arsenal
Alexis Sanchez appears to have handed Arsenal a huge boost after confirming that he’s really happy at the club and want’s to reward the fans by winning a major trophy.
Sanchez’s future has been the subject of intense speculation in recent months as he’s in the final 18 months of his contract and so far we’ve been unable to agree terms over an extension.
The Chilean international has reportedly been offered crazy wages to move to China and Arsenal are struggling to meet his demands leading to rumours we may have to cash in this summer.
The speculation increased even further after Alexis threw a strop after being substituted during our 4-0 win over Swansea at the weekend, with the striker seen sulking on the bench during the closing stages of the game.
However, in a very well-timed video uploaded by Arsenal to YouTube, Sanchez has insisted that he’s ‘very happy’ at the club and says he’s focussed on winning either the Premier League or Champions League for our fans.
He told Arsenal Player:
“I definitely feel like an important player and my team-mates let me know every day.”
“I try to prove I am an important player every day and game after game.
“I believe we have the players and the quality to win many things.”
“I feel really happy and comfortable at the club. I want to give the fans a new title.
“We always get our fans support in the thick and thin.
“We must win the Premier League or Champions League for them.”
Sanchez also appeared to make reference to his unhappiness at being substituted after saying that he’s never enjoyed not being on the field and believes he’ll have plenty of time to rest when he’s retired.
