Arsenal legend: Sanchez could be heading to Bayern Munich
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has admitted that he could see Alexis Sanchez joining Chilean team-mate Arturo Vidal at Bayern Munich if he leaves Arsenal.
As we all know, Sanchez has just 18 months left to run on his current contract and we’re struggling to agree terms over an extension despite holding lengthy talks with his representatives.
With the 28-year-old’s future in doubt, understandably Sanchez has been linked with a whole host of top European clubs while there has also been reports of big-money offers coming in from China.
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has called on Alexis to commit his future to the Emirates and sign a new deal, however, the former striker has admitted that if Sanchez does end up leaving he can see him following international team mate Vidal to Bayern Munich.
When asked about Sanchez, Henry is quoted by the Metro as telling Sky Sports:
‘I want him to sign, everybody wants him to sign. That’s a tricky one for the club. That’s why you have guys there to be able to deal with that.
‘But, as an Arsenal fan, I want Alexis Sanchez to stay for life because he is the future of the club. Same with Mesut Ozil.’
‘If he ever leaves then you would think the likes of Bayern are going to come, Paris Saint-Germain,’
‘Maybe joining his friend Vidal at Bayern Munich so we’ll see. But stay… don’t listen to anyone, find a way, stay!
Obviously everyone associated with Arsenal want’s Sanchez to sign a new deal but if he still hasn’t by the end of the season then we’re going to be under pressure and may decide it’s best to cash-in rather than risk losing him for nothing in 2018.
Pretty-much every club would want Sanchez but if he does have to be sold, then I pray he goes abroad to the likes of Bayern or Juventus. I’m sure Chelsea, City, Utd, etc would love him but there’s virtually no chance Arsenal would do business with them.
