A 25-man Arsenal squad has flown-out to Australia to kick off a two-week pre-season tour as Arsene Wenger begins his preparations ahead of the new season.

The boys left London on Sunday night heading for Sydney where we’ll take on Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers before flying to China to face Bayern Munich and Chelsea later this month.

Olivier Giroud is on the plane despite speculation linking him with a move to Everton while David Ospina has also travelled amid on-going reports that he’ll leave the club this summer.

New signings Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac will be looking to familiarise themselves with their new team mates after completing moves from Lyon and Schalke in recent weeks.

Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are on the plane as the club continue to try and tie them down to new deals with the pair now in the final year of their current contracts.

Wenger has also given several youngsters a chance to impress after naming Krystian Bielik, Cohen Bramall, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Donyell Malen, Reiss Nelson, Eddie Nketiah and Joe Willock in the 25-man squad.

However, it looks like there will be a few players heading out of the club soon as a number of first team squad players have been left back in north London to resolve their futures.

Goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny hasn’t travelled as he closes in on a move to Juventus while Kieran Gibbs and Lucas Perez have also been left out so it seems they’re set to depart over the coming weeks.

Mathieu Debuchy and Carl Jenkinson have also been omitted as they look certain to leave this summer while Alexis Sanchez, Rob Holding, Calum Chambers and Shkodran Mustafi are all still on extended leave due to their international commitments this summer.
