Arsenal came from behind to beat Swansea City 2-1 at the Emirates this afternoon thanks to second half goals from Kolasinac and Ramsey.

Swansea took the lead midway through the first half following poor defending but we turned things around early in the second half as Kolasinac and Ramsey were on target to secure a vital 2-1 win.

Here are my ratings:

Cech  6/10 | Shouldn’t have rushed out for the opening goal as he made it easy for Clucas. Otherwise solid.

Koscielny  6/10 | Lost possession high up the pitch which led to their goal and missed a free header to get on the scoresheet. Got forward down the right a few times but crossing was poor. Stick to defending Kos!

Mertesacker  7/10 | Mistake should have led to a second Swansea goal just before half time but we got away with it and Per was otherwise solid.

Monreal  7/10 | Didn’t put a foot wrong at the back and moved out wide seamlessly when Kolasinac went off injured.

Bellerin  6/10 | Poor positioning for the opener and was overshadowed by his opposite number for much of the game.

Xhaka  6.5/10 | Made some sloppy passes in the first half but improved after the break and played a lovely ball in the build up to the second goal.

Ramsey  7.5/10 | Wonderfully controlled finish with his left foot to make it 2-1. Another important goal from Rambo.

Kolasinac  8/10 | Superb finish to make it 1-1 and got the assist for Ramsey’s goal. Linked up with Sanchez well a few times but limped off near the end. Hopefully it’s not serious.

Ozil  6/10 | Played a few lovely passes but wasn’t at his best today as he struggled to influence proceedings.

Sanchez  6/10 | Almost opened the scoring early on with a powerful effort but that’s about as good as it got for Alexis. Quiet game by his standards.

Lacazette  6/10 | Involved in some nice exchanges but couldn’t really have any real influence in the game against a well organised Swansea defence.

Subs:

Holding  5/10 | On for Kolasinac with 15 minutes left.

Giroud  6/10 | Made a decent impact in his late cameo. Almost scored with a low effort.

We were miles from our best today but we dug deep and got the three points, which is all that matters. The second-string will face Red Star in midweek but this lot will have to play a lot better at Man City if we want to get anything next weekend.
