[Player Ratings] Arsenal 2-2 Chelsea: Ozil & Maitland-Niles shine, Chambers shocker
Hector Bellerin scored in injury time to rescue Arsenal a deserved 2-2 draw against Chelsea at the Emirates this evening.
Jack Wilshere open the scoring with a fine strike before another questionable refereeing decision gifted Chelsea a penalty when Bellerin was adjudged to have fouled Hazard even though there was minimal contact.
Hazard made it 1-1 from the spot and Chelsea looked to have won it when Alonso swept home in the 83rd minute. However, Bellerin fired home a stunner in stoppage time to rescue a point.
Here are my ratings:
Cech 7/10 | Decent save to deny Bakayoko and another to keep a low Hazard effort out in the second half. Failed to save ANOTHER penalty.
Holding 6/10 | Solid display for the most part. Got dragged out of position in the final minute which could have led to a late Chelsea winner.
Mustafi 5/10 | Made a couple of blocks but was badly at fault for their second as he completely lost Alonso.
Chambers 4/10 | Shocking night. Awful defending should have cost us an early goal when Morata missed a one-v-one. Miss-placed several passes and looked nervy throughout.
Bellerin 7/10 | Unfortunate for the penalty decision but naive to stick out his leg. Always an outlet down the right and grabbed a superb equaliser.
Xhaka 6/10 | Average display. Kept the ball moving when in possession but was overrun by the Chelsea attackers at times. Woeful pass when we had a chance to win it in the final minute.
Wilshere 7/10 | Wonderful finish to open the scoring and showed glimpses of his talent. Booked for a crunching tackle on Fabregas.
Maitland-Niles 7.5/10 | Another excellent performance. Held his own defensively and was a threat going forward as he linked up well with Sanchez. Great prospect.
Ozil 8/10 | Ran the show in the first half and was at the heart of everything going forward after the break. Found plenty of space to cause Chelsea problems.
Sanchez 7/10 | Unlucky not to score when his shot hit both posts in the first half. Faded in the second half after a lively start. Showed great fight until the end, which was good to see.
Lacazette 7/10 |Forced a great save from Courtois midway through the first half but should have scored early in the second when he fired straight at the Chelsea keeper. Great movement throughout. The goals will come.

Subs:
Welbeck 5/10 | No real impact in his 10 minute cameo.
Walcott N/A
We were perhaps unfortunate with some decisions and missed some chances but in the end a draw was probably a fair result as our defending was woeful and Chelsea had plenty of opportunities themselves. Next up, Forest in the FA Cup.
