Transfer News: Attacker arrives for medical after Arsenal agree £20m deal
According to BBC journalist David Ornstein, Theo Walcott has arrived at Everton to undergo his medical and finalise a £20m move from Arsenal.
Walcott has struggled to force his way in to Arsene Wenger’s starting eleven this season and it looks like he’s set to end his 12-year stay in north London.
A number of clubs have been linked with the 28-year-old but Sky Sports claim Everton have now reached an agreement with Arsenal over a deal worth in the region of £20m – although the figure could rise to £25m with add-ons.
Walcott has been spotted arriving at Everton’s Finch Farm training ground this afternoon and BBC journalist Ornstein claims the attacker is set to undergo his medical.
Negotiations are still being finalised but the hope is that the medical will be done so that once those formalities are completed the deal can be quickly wrapped-up within the next 24 hours.
Theo Walcott is at Everton for talks over proposed £20m+ move from Arsenal. Medical under way – #EFC run lengthy checks so sensible to start it while negotiations ongoing in hope that if/when agreement reached medical already done. Still hurdles to overcome, outcome in next 24hrs

Arsenal are being linked with the likes of Malcom, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan so it looks like Wenger is already planning for life without Theo [and Alexis Sanchez].
As much as he was a hugely frustrating player at times, Walcott has still scored 108 goals in 397 appearances for Arsenal so I will wish him all the best if/when he completes his move to Everton.
It will be interesting to see how he fares under a manager like Sam Allardyce but hopefully he can rediscover his best form and push for a place in the England squad as I think he deserves to go to another World Cup.
