[Photos] Triple Arsenal fitness boost as key trio train alongside Sanchez
Arsenal have been handed a triple injury boost as Mesut Ozil, Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal all trained alongside Alexis Sanchez this afternoon.
Ozil has missed the last two matches with a knee injury but the German international was back out on the pitches at London Colney today so should be in contention to face Palace.
Koscielny [Achilles] and Monreal [ankle] have been missing since late December but the defensive duo are back in full training and are expected to return to the starting eleven tomorrow.
The news will come as a huge boost as we’ve been woeful at the back in recent weeks while we severely lack creativity in the final third without Ozil in the team.
Mesut return to fitness is particularly important considering Alexis Sanchez is unlikely to feature tomorrow as he’s on the verge of completing a move to Manchester United.
The proposed swap deal involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan hasn’t been completed in time for them to play for their new clubs this weekend but it would be foolish for Sanchez to play for Arsenal against Palace in case he got injured.
There were reports that Alexis trained with the youth team yesterday but he was back with the first team today so maybe Arsene Wenger is ready to risk him tomorrow afternoon?
