Video: Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea: Xhaka fires Gunners to Wembley
Arsenal came from a goal down to beat Chelsea 2-1 at the Emirates tonight and book their place in the final of the Carabao Cup.
It was a nightmare start as Chelsea were all over us from the off and took a deserved lead in the 7th minute when Hazard converted following some woeful defending.
We grabbed an unlikely equaliser in the 11th minute when Monreal’s goal-bound header deflected off Alonso and Ruddier before finding the back of the net for 1-1.
We settled in to the game and took the lead midway through the second half as Lacazette’s cross fell to Xhaka and he did well to prod home to make it 2-1 in the 60th minute.
It turned out to be the winning goal as we held off a late push by Chelsea to grab an equaliser to we’re in to our fourth cup final in five years where we’ll take on Man City next month.
