[Photos] Aubameyang trains at London Colney for first time since joining Arsenal
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been snapped training at London Colney for the first time since completing his club record move to Arsenal.
After weeks of negotiations, we finally reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for the signature of Aubameyang earlier this week and the striker flew over to England on Tuesday to finalise his move.
The Gabon international underwent his medical on Wednesday morning and was soon unveiled as our club record £56m signing after penning a long-term contract.
Aubameyang has now been getting to know his new surroundings as he’s been training for the first time at our London Colney training base today.
The 28-year-old is fit and raring to go so he should be named in the squad to face Everton at the Emirates on Saturday evening – although it remains to be seen whether Arsene Wenger will hand him his full debut or ease him in to action from the bench.
It’s going to be exciting to see how Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan settle in north London but they have the potential to be a superb partnership after enjoying a great understanding during their time at Dortmund.
