Star to hold talks with Unai Emery after Arsenal table lucrative contract offer
According to the Sun, Aaron Ramsey will hold face-to-face talks with Unai Emery next week after Arsenal offered the midfielder a lucrative new five-year contract extension.
Ramsey’s long-term future at the club is in serious doubt as he’s about to enter the final year of his current contract and we need to convince him to sign a new deal over the coming weeks.
Emery is reportedly a huge admirer of the 27-year-old’s and wants to build his new-look Arsenal side around Ramsey next season with many fans calling for him to be given the captains armband.
Rambo was voted as our Player of the Season last year but he’s been delaying making any decision over his future until he found out who was going to replace Arsene Wenger in the hot seat.
The Welshman dropped a hint he was ready to stay at Arsenal after saying earlier this week that he was excited to work with Emery and couldn’t wait to get back to work in pre-season.
The Telegraph reported on Wednesday that Arsenal have offered Ramsey a new lucrative five-year contract extension but will cash-in on the midfielder this summer if he doesn’t sign a new deal.
Emery is desperate to keep him and the Sun says our new head coach will hold face-to-face talks with Ramsey to try and convince him to commit to the club when he returns from a short holiday next week.
The newspaper says Emery will also talk with Jack Wilshere as he wants the 26-year-old to stay and sign a new deal with his current contract set to expire at the end of June.
No doubt Ramsey and Wilshere will want to speak with the new boss before signing any contracts but it sounds like Emery sees both in his plans for next season so fingers crossed we can find agreements.

Wilshere is important as he’s a proper Arsenal man but it’s vital we keep hold of Ramsey and I’m keen to see how his game could develop under Emery next season.
