“Big future” – Cesc Fabregas heaps praise on Arsenal duo after they star vs Man Utd
Cesc Fabregas heaped praise on Matteo Guendouzi and Bukayo Saka following their excellent performances during Arsenal’s 1-1 draw at Manchester United on Monday night.
Guendouzi has been one of our best players so far this season and earned his starting spot against United after dragging 10-man Arsenal almost single-handedly to victory over Aston Villa last weekend.
The young Frenchman was one of our stand-out performers once again last night as he battled in midfield against Man Utd to help Arsenal come away with a decent point from Old Trafford.
Guendouzi has all the passion to make him a real fan favourite but the quality he’s producing at just 20-years-old is amazing to see and his performances have certainly impressed Fabregas.
The former Arsenal skipper took to Twitter last night to praise Guendouzi for showing up in the difficult moments and Fabregas seems convinced he has a ‘big future ahead of him’.
Gotta love Guendouzi. Can play good or not so good but always shows up in difficult moments at such a young age. Big future ahead of him at @Arsenal

Saka has also been one of the huge positives of the season so far as the 18-year-old has broken into Unai Emery’s first team plans following a number of exciting displays in recent weeks.
His breakthrough came when he won the Man of the Match award after scoring a superb goal and setting-up two others during Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League earlier this month.
Saka started against Man Utd last night and was a real threat for Arsenal as he gave the hosts defence all sorts of problems. He always wanted the ball and certainly wasn’t overawed by playing in such a big game at Old Trafford.
The teenage winger set-up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to score the equaliser just after half-time and almost won it for Arsenal when his goal-bound shot deflected just over the bar off the leg of Victor Lindelof.
Fabregas is clearly a fan as the midfielder labelled Saka ‘a player’ and praised the youngster for showing such maturity in a big game.
Saka is a player. 18 years old showing great maturity 👏🏻

It wasn’t a great performance from Arsenal last night and there is plenty for fans to be concerned about with the current set-up but Guendouzi and Saka are undoubtedly two huge positives for us right now and we should be excited about how they will develop over the coming years.
