Confirmed line-ups: Norwich vs Arsenal – Mustafi, Xhaka & Willock start
Freddie Ljungberg will try to get Arsenal’s season back on track when he takes charge of his first game as interim manager at Norwich this afternoon.
Freddie took over following Unai Emery’s exit on Friday morning and he’s decided to do away with the back three that the Spaniard has deployed in recent games with Arsenal playing a flat back four today.
However, sadly Hector Bellerin misses out with a hamstring problem so Calum Chambers starts at right-back while Sead Kolasinac is preferred to Kieran Tierney at left-back. Shkodran Mustafi is a shock starter alongside David Luiz with Sokratis on the bench and Rob Holding missing out with a knock.
Joe Willock starts in midfield alongside Matteo Guendouzi and Granit Xhaka with Lucas Torreira on the bench. Mesut Ozil supports Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette in attack with Nicolas Pepe on the bench.
It certainly wouldn’t have been my preferred starting eleven. Let’s hope Ljungberg knows what he’s doing!
Here are the line-ups:
Norwich
Krul, Aarons, Byram, Godfrey, Zimmermann, Hernandez, Cantwell, Trybull, Pukki, McLean, Amadou
Subs: Roberts,Vrancic, Lewis, Emi, Stiepermann, Fahrmann, Srbeny.
Arsenal
Leno, Chambers, Mustafi, Luiz, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Guendouzi, Willock, Ozil, Aubameyang, Lacazette
Subs: Tierney, Papastathopoulos, Torreira, Pepe, Martinez, Martinelli, Saka.
