Confirmed line-ups: Arsenal vs Chelsea: Maitland-Niles & Bellerin start for Gunners
Arsenal desperately need victory to salvage something from a horrid season as we take on Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley this evening.
Mikel Arteta has made just one change from the side that beat Watford with Hector Bellerin recalled. Ainsley Maitland-Niles gets the nod over Bukayo Saka at left wing-back.
Emi Martinez continues in goal with Bernd Leno still recovering from a knee injury while Rob Holding starts in defence after Shkodran Mustafi was ruled out until October with a hamstring strain. David Luiz and Kieran Tierney line-up alongside Holding in the back three.
Granit Xhaka and Dani Ceballos start in midfield so Lucas Torreira is on the bench. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be Arsenal’s main goal threat in attack while Alexandre Lacazette leads the line up front.
Interestingly, there is no place for Willian in the Chelsea squad despite being passed fit. Could it be because he’s decided to join Arsenal this summer?
These are the teams for the game:
Arsenal
Martinez; Holding, Luiz, Tierney; Bellerin, Ceballos, Xhaka, Maitland-Niles; Pepe, Lacazette, Aubameyang.
Subs: Macey, Sokratis, Kolasinac, Torreira, Smith, Willock, Nelson, Saka, Nketiah
Chelsea
Caballero, James, Rudiger, Zouma, Azpilicueta, Alonso, Jorginho, Kovacic, Mount, Pulisic, Giroud
Subs: Kepa, Christensen, Kante, Barkley, Abraham, Pedro, Hudson-Odoi, Tomori, Emerson
