Confirmed line-ups: Arsenal vs Aston Villa: Elneny & Holding start
Arsenal take on Aston Villa at the Emirates this evening knowing they need a win to close-in on the top four of the Premier League table.
As expected, Mikel Arteta has made a number of changes from the side that beat Molde in the Europa League on Thursday night as he reverts back to the side that won at Manchester United last weekend.
That means Rob Holding partners Gabriel in defence while Kieran Tierney also gets a recall with David Luiz and Sead Kolasinac dropping out. Mohamed Elneny is given another chance after impressing at Old Trafford as he starts alongside Thomas Partey with Granit Xhaka and Dani Ceballos among the subs.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang starts in attack for Arsenal along with Alexandre Lacazette and Willian so Nicolas Pepe and Eddie Nketiah are on the bench. Joe Willock will feel unfortunate to miss out on a place in the squad after his excellent performance in midweek.
Bukayo Saka is another player recalled as he starts on the left while Hector Bellerin comes in on the right for Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
These are the line-ups:
Arsenal
Leno, Holding, Gabriel, Tierney, Bellerin, Partey, Elneny, Saka, Willian, Lacazette, Aubameyang
Subs: Runarsson, Maitland-Niles, David Luiz, Xhaka, Ceballos, Pepe, Nketiah
Aston Villa
Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Mings, Targett, Douglas Luiz, McGinn, Trezeguet, Barkley, Grealish, Watkins
Subs: Taylor, Steer, Hourihane, Nakamba, El Ghazi, Elmohamady, Davis
