Confirmed line-ups: Everton vs Arsenal: No Aubameyang but Martinelli returns
Arsenal are in Merseyside to take on Everton at Goodison Park this evening in desperate need of a result to turn our season around.
Mikel Arteta is without captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang due to a calf issue so Eddie Nketiah keeps his place up front and is joined by Willian and Nicolas Pepe in the Arsenal attack. Gabriel Martinelli returns to the squad after recovering from a knee injury and he’s named among the substitutes along with Alexandre Lacazette tonight.
It looks like we’ll go with a back three of Rob Holding, David Luiz – who replaces the suspended Gabriel – and Kieran Tierney with Ainsley Maitland-Niles keeping his place ahead of Hector Bellerin on the right. Bukayo Saka also starts on the left.
Mohamed Elneny and Dani Ceballos continue in the middle of the park for Arsenal in the absence of Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey. Joe Willock and Emile Smith Rowe are among the subs.
These are the teams for the game:
Everton
Pickford, Holgate, Keane, Mina, Godfrey, Sigurdsson, Davies, Doucoure, Iwobi, Calvert Lewin, Richarlison
Subs: Kenny, Tosun, Nkounkou, Bernard, Coleman, Gordon, Branthwaite, Olsen, Lossl
Arsenal
Leno, Holding, Luiz, Tierney, Maitland Niles, Elneny, Ceballos, Saka, Pepe, Nketiah, Willian
Subs: Bellerin, Lacazette, Runarsson, Cedric, Mustafi, Willock, Kolasinac, Smith-Rowe, Martinelli
