Confirmed line-ups: Arsenal vs Crystal Palace: Tierney out, Partey on the bench
Arsenal take on Crystal Palace at the Emirates this evening desperately needing another win to help us climb up the table.
The boss has recalled a number of players who were rested for the FA Cup win over Newcastle United at the weekend but Kieran Tierney misses out due to a muscle issue while Pablo Mari is also ruled out with a tight calf.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles starts at left-back and Hector Bellerin returns on the right with Cedric Soares dropping to the bench. Gabriel is only named among the Arsenal subs as Rob Holding partners David Luiz in the middle of the back four.
Thomas Partey isn’t risked from the start as he’s named on the bench so Granit Xhaka partners Dani Ceballos in midfield. Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe are recalled in attack after being rested for the Newcastle game which means Nicolas Pepe and Willian make way.
Alexandre Lacazette returns up front with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang moving to the left wing so Reiss Nelson drops out of the Arsenal matchday squad this evening.
These are the teams for the game:
Arsenal
Leno, Bellerin, Holding, Luiz, Maitland-Niles, Ceballos, Xhaka, Saka, Smith-Rowe, Aubameyang, Lacazette
Subs: Gabriel, Willian, Runarsson, Cedric, Partey, Pepe, Chambers, Willock, Nketiah
Crystal Palace
Guaita, Ward, Tomkins, Kouyate, Mitchell, Townsend, McArthur, Milivojevic, Eze, Benteke, Zaha
Subs: Butland, van Aanholt, Dann, Ayew, Clyne, McCarthy, Batshuayi, Cahill, Riedewald
