Arsenal have confirmed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Dani Ceballos will miss tonight’s trip to Southampton while Kieran Tierney is also in danger of missing the game.

Aubameyang sat out the 1-0 FA Cup defeat to Southampton on Saturday due to ‘family reasons’ and Mikel Arteta admitted after the game he didn’t know how long his skipper would be out for.

The club have now provided a team news update on Arsenal.com ahead of tonight’s Premier League trip to St Mary’s Stadium which confirmed Aubameyang is unavailable for the game this evening.

In a double blow, Arsenal also revealed that Ceballos won’t feature tonight either as he’s still nursing a calf issue that kept him out at the weekend. The midfielder will continue to be assessed ahead of Saturday’s huge clash with Man Utd.

Worryingly, the club have also revealed that Tierney remains a doubt for the Southampton match as he’s facing a late fitness test due to ‘discomfort in the right lower leg’. Let’s pray it’s nothing serious as we’ve seen recently just how important Tierney has become for Arsenal.

The final update is for Pablo Mari and the centre-back is progressing well in his recovery from a calf strain. Mari won’t be available tonight but he hopes to resume training at some point this week.

The team news update on Arsenal.com confirmed:

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Will be unavailable for Tuesday’s match due to personal family reasons.

Dani Ceballos
Left calf. Dani has resumed training and though not available for Tuesday, will continue to be assessed in the coming days.

Pablo Mari
Right calf. Pablo is progressing well from a mild calf strain. Aiming to be back in training this week.

Kieran Tierney
Right calf. Kieran is being assessed for discomfort in the right lower leg.

It’s obviously a big blow to be without Aubameyang and Ceballos tonight but Tierney would arguably be the biggest miss if he’s ruled out. We desperately need to get a win at St Mary’s tonight but with Man Utd coming to the Emirates on Saturday, Arteta is unlikely to take any risks with the left-back.
