Confirmed line-ups: West Brom vs Arsenal – Ramsdale and Odegaard start
Mikel Arteta has picked a strong side for the game as Arsenal take on West Brom in the second round of the League Cup at the Hawthorns tonight.
Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale makes his debut for Arsenal after joining the club from Sheffield United last week while Martin Odegaard makes his first start since joining from Real Madrid on a permanent basis.
Nuno Tavares also makes his competitive debut for Arsenal and it looks like he could be deployed at right-back with Sead Kolasinac a surprise started at left-back. Calum Chambers and Rob Holding occupy the centre-back positions with Pablo Marin on the bench.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is recalled to start up front while Bukayo Saka joins Nicolas Pepe in the attack this evening. Mohamed Elneny starts alongside Granit Xhaka with Alberto Sambi Lokonga dropping to the bench.
Gabriel Martinelli is also named among the Arsenal substitutes along with Alexandre Lacazette and Emile Smith Rowe.
