Arsenal predicted line-up against Bournemouth
Following an impressive 4-0 victory over Everton in midweek, Arsenal will now host yet another relegation-threatened side AFC Bournemouth at the Emirates in the Premier League on Saturday.
Having endured a little bump in the road, the Gunners have now returned to the winning avenue with three consecutive victories over Aston Villa, Leicester City and the Toffees in recent weeks.
After last Wednesday’s result, the north London club have now distanced themselves at the top of the league with a five point cushion from the nearest title challenger Manchester City.
Meanwhile, the newly promoted side Bournemouth have been struggling to find their feet in the Premier League this season as they are currently languishing down in 19th place in the table. The Cherries have only managed to register one victory in the last ten games in all competitions. So, Arsenal are firm favourites to come away victorious in this fixture.
Expected Arsenal line-up against Bournemouth
Arteta is unlikely to make many changes to his starting eleven that thrashed Everton in midweek. So, Aaron Ramsdale is set to continue in the Gunners’ goal and Matt Turner will have to be satisfied with a place among the substitute once again this weekend.
William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes have been irreplaceable this season and are likely to be at the heart of Arsenal’s defence in this encounter as well.
Ben White should keep hold of his place on the right back spot, while Oleksandr Zinchenko is expected to remain on the opposite side. Meaning Takehiro Tomiyasu, Rob Holding, Jakub Kiwior and Kieran Tierney will all be on the bench.
Thomas Partey was involved as the second-half substitute in the previous two encounters. But, he should return to the starting eleven this weekend in place of Jorginho, who is in doubt due to illness.
Granit Xhaka and Martin Odegaard should be in front of the Ghanaian in Arsenal’s engine room, meaning Fabio Vieira and Emile Smith Rowe could be among the substitutes.
Both Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka were impressive last time out and they will be patrolling the wide areas against Bournemouth, while Leandro Trossard is likely to keep hold of his place in the centre forward position.
Arteta revealed after the Everton game that Eddie Nketiah has been carrying an ankle issue so he is in doubt ahead of this fixture but, is expected to make the matchday squad. Gabriel Jesus and Mohamed Elneny remain sidelined for Arsenal along with Reiss Nelson.
