Arsenal keen on signing Galatasaray star Sacha Boey
Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing Galatasaray defender Sacha Boey this summer, as per the Turkish outlet Takvim.
It has widely been suggested that the Gunners are ready to spend big in the upcoming transfer window to strengthen the squad in order to challenge on all fronts from next season.
Midfield has been mentioned as the area that Mikel Arteta is prioritising to revamp and along with that, the Gunners boss is also planning to bolster the attack and defence in the upcoming transfer window.
Arsenal have been linked with a host of right-back options over the last few months – which suggests that perhaps, the North London club are actively looking to sign a new fullback this summer.
Joao Cancelo, Ridle Baku and Ivan Fresneda have all been mentioned as serious targets for Arsenal, and along with them, Boey is reportedly on their radar as well.
Boey to Arsenal
According to the report by Takvim, Arsenal are showing genuine interest in signing Boey this summer and Galatasaray are ready to cash-in if they receive an offer of around £22m [€25m].
The report further claims that Galatasaray’s deputy chairman Erden Timur has recently flown to the English capital to talk with Premier League clubs regarding transfer businesses and it is believed that Arsenal met with him over a potential deal to sign Boey this summer.
Takvim also says that the North London club have a very good relationship with the Turkish side so there is a real possibility that a deal can be done for the Frenchman if Arsenal decide to formalise their interest at the end of this season.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed a stellar campaign for Galatasaray this term, playing a key role in his side’s quest of winning the league title and it seems his recent impressive displays have attracted the attention of Arsenal.
The youngster is quick, strong, excellent in defensive contributions, comfortable playing out from the back and also can dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas.
Boey is an extremely talented player and possesses high potential. So, he could be a shrewd acquisition for Arsenal if they manage to secure his signature at the end of this season.
