Arsenal could sign Mohammed Kudus this summer
Arsenal could reportedly sign Ajax star Mohammed Kudus this summer to strengthen their frontline, as per the transfer journalist Ben Jacobs.
The Gunners have been exploring the possibility of signing a new right-winger over the last two transfer windows to support Bukayo Saka. However, despite being linked with numerous options, they haven’t signed anyone yet.
It has recently been reported that the North London club could finally opt to purchase a right-sided attacker in this transfer window and they have been linked with a few options in recent times. Raphinha and Ferran Torres have been suggested as potential targets but Kudus is now emerging as a serious option.
When asked whether Arsenal will sign a new winger this summer, Jacobs has said that the Gunners are planning to bolster the flanks and could look to sign Kudus from Ajax as he is a versatile player – who can play in the attacking-midfield position as well.
Replying to a Tweet, Jacobs said:
“I still think Mohammed Kudus is one to watch. Added bonus is he’s versatile so can play wide or in AM.”

Kudus to Arsenal
It has been suggested that Ajax are ready to cash-in on the African if they receive an offer of around £40m from his potential suitors such as Arsenal. So, the Emirates club will have to spend big to acquire his service should they formalise their interest.
Arsenal have been busy in this transfer window and have already spent over £200m to strengthen their squad to challenge on all fronts from next season.
It has been suggested that Arteta’s side will now need to raise funds by selling some players before re-focusing on adding more firepower this summer.
Having already sold Granit Xhaka to Bayer Leverkusen, Arsenal are reportedly prepared to listen offers for Folarin Balogun, Thomas Partey, Cedric Soares and Rob Holding.
Kudus is an extremely talented player and has already showcased his talent at the highest level for club and country in recent times. So, he would be a shrewd signing for Arsenal if they sign him over the coming weeks.
It is going to be interesting to see whether Arsenal eventually opt to purchase Kudus to bolster their frontline in this transfer window.
