Confirmed line-ups: Everton vs Arsenal – Ramsdale dropped as Raya starts in goal
Arsenal get back to Premier League action after the international break as we take on Everton at Goodison Park this afternoon.
Mikel Arteta has made a huge call as he’s dropped Aaron Ramsdale for the game with David Raya handed his debut between the sticks. Oleksandr Zinchenko starts at left-back while Gabriel lines-up alongside William Saliba in the middle of Arsenal’s defence. Ben White makes-up the back four.
Declan Rice starts once again in midfield with Martin Odegaard captaining the Arsenal team today. However, there is a change in the third midfield position with Fabio Vieira handed a rare start meaning Kai Havertz drops to the bench.
Eddie Nketiah keeps his place up front so Gabriel Jesus has to settle for a place on the bench despite scoring against Man Utd last time out. Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli keep their places on the wings so Leandro Trossard and Reiss Nelson are among the Arsenal substitutes.
These are the teams for the game:
Arsenal
Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Rice, Vieira, Odegaard; Saka, Nketiah, Martinelli.
Subs: Ramsdale, Tomiyasu, Kiwior, Jorginho, Havertz, Trossard, Smith Rowe, Nelson, Jesus.
Everton
Pickford, Young, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko, Onana, Doucoure, Gueye, Danjuma, Beto, McNeil.
Subs: Virginia, Patterson, Keane, Godfrey, Garner, Dobbin, Onyango, Chermiti, Calvert-Lewin.
