Arsenal could make a swoop for Bynoe-Gittens
Arsenal could reportedly opt to make a swoop for Borussia Dortmund star Jamie Bynoe-Gittens in the upcoming transfer window, as per the transfer insider Dean Jones.
After moving to Signal Iduna Park from Manchester City, the 19-year-old has struggled with injury problems in recent years. However, he managed to get some game-time last season after regaining his full fitness and showcased glimpses of his talent in the German top-flight, scoring three goals and registering a solitary assist in four league starts.
It has recently been reported that after being impressed by the youngster’s recent performances, Arsenal have decided to register a firm interest in signing him to bolster their frontline.
Now, speaking to GiveMeSport, Jones has reported that Arsenal are looking for options to strengthen their wide areas and they could opt to make a swoop for Bynoe-Gittens in the upcoming window.
The journalist further claims that Arsenal would be an ideal destination for the 19-year-old if he wishes to return to England. However, Jones states that securing the Dortmund star’s signature won’t be straightforward for Arsenal as city rival Chelsea are also eyeing a move for him.
Bynoe-Gittens to Arsenal
When asked whether Arsenal could decide to make a move for Bynoe-Gittens over the coming months, Jones said:
“Arsenal would be a suitable fit if he wants to come back to England, if nothing more than the fact his representatives also have a few of Arsenal’s biggest players on their books.
“At the moment I’m not convinced this is top of Arsenal’s priority list but we know they are on the lookout for new alternatives out wide and as such I do think this is one to just keep an eye on for now. It’s also worth noting that Chelsea also have an eye on him if and when he looks for a return to England”
It has previously been reported that Dortmund have no intention of selling their star man at the moment, but they could change their stance should they receive an offer of around £26m from his potential suitors such as Arsenal.
Bynoe-Gittens is certainly a talented player and possesses high potential so he could be a shrewd signing for Arsenal with a view to the long-term future if they sign him.
However, the youngster has struggled with injury problems in recent times so the North London club should be careful before making any move for him in the upcoming window.
