Arsenal predicted line-up against Bournemouth
Arsenal will be travelling to Vitality Stadium to face off against Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The Gunners have started the season exceptionally well as they are currently unbeaten this season. But, they have failed to win two of their first six encounters in the Premier League so they have already fallen four points behind the title rival Manchester City.
Therefore, Arsenal will be desperate to come away with all three points from this encounter to reduce the gap with the Citizens before taking them on next weekend.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth have endured a tough start to this season as they are yet to win a game in the Premier League this term. They will be keen on doing that tomorrow so Arsenal will have to be at their very best to come away with all three points.
Team news
Arsenal have currently been stung with several injury problems as Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka are expected to remain sidelined due to the respective issues that they suffered in the last game against Tottenham Hotspur.
Gabriel Martinelli is also likely to miss out due to a hamstring problem, while Leandro Trossard is not expected to be available owing to an injury. Thomas Partey and Jurrien Timber are among the long-term absentees so they are not in contention to feature in this encounter.
Fabio Vieira was also absent in the midweek game after sustaining a knock last weekend and it is going to be interesting to see whether he returns tomorrow. William Saliba is also in doubt but he is expected to start versus the Cherries.
Expected Arsenal line-up vs Bournemouth
Mikel Arteta made some changes to his starting eleven in midweek’s Carabao Cup game against Brentford, but he is set to recall all of his first-team players in this encounter.
David Raya is set to return in goal for Arsenal so Aaron Ramsdale will have to go back to the bench after starting against Brentford. William Saliba should return in the starting eleven for Arsenal and Gabriel Magalhaes could continue at the back.
Ben White is expected to keep hold of his place in the right-back position and Oleksandr Zinchenko should return on the opposite side after starting on the bench in midweek. Therefore, Jakub Kiwior and Takehiro Tomiyasu will go back to the bench tomorrow.
Jorginho should continue as the deep-lying playmaker and on either side of the Italian, Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard should commence in midfield. So, Mohamed Elneny and Emile Smith Rowe will be among the substitutes. Reiss Nelson, Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus are likely to be the front three for Arteta’s side tomorrow.
