Arsenal receive boost as Neto ready to move to the Emirates
Arsenal have received a big boost in the race to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers star Pedro Neto as the Portuguese is open to moving to the Emirates Stadium in the upcoming transfer window, as per Football Insider.
Fabrizio Romano has recently reported that after enjoying a stellar start to this season, the 23-year-old has already attracted the attention of several big Premier League clubs and he is highly likely to leave the Molineux Stadium next summer.
The journalist further claimed that Arsenal are interested in signing him and they have been monitoring the development of Neto in recent times ahead of a potential move in the upcoming transfer window.
According to the report by Football Insider, the player is keen on taking the next step in his career and is open to joining the Gunnera. So, this is a huge boost for Arsenal in the race to secure his signature.
However, the report claims that Wolves don’t want to let their star man leave in mid-season so acquiring the winger’s service in January will be extremely difficult for Arsenal but a summer move seems more realistic.
Neto to Arsenal
But, Football Insider states that other clubs are also interested in signing him so Arsenal are set to face a tough challenge in getting any potential deal done for him. However, given the player is ready to join the Gunners, that could help Arsenal beat other clubs in this race.
Neto – valued at around £24m by Transfermarkt – still has four years left in his current contract so Wolves are in a strong position to demand a big fee if they are forced to cash-in next year. So, Arsenal will have to fork out big money to lure Neto to the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners hold a long-term interest in signing Neto as they were keen on purchasing him during the summer of 2022. But, Wolves were determined to keep hold of their star man and eventually managed to achieve that.
So, having failed to secure his signature last time around, it is going to be interesting to see whether Arsenal can eventually manage to sign Neto next year to finally add a new right-winger to Arteta’s disposal to support Bukayo Saka.
