Confirmed line-ups: Arsenal vs Sevilla – Trossard and Havertz start for Gunners
Arsenal take on Sevilla at the Emirates Stadium tonight knowing a win will secure their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League.
It’s important we get back to winning ways after crashing out of the EFL Cup to West Ham last week while our title hopes were also dented following Saturday’s controversial 1-0 loss at Newcastle United.
Mikel Arteta knows how important it is that Arsenal do well in the Champions League so he’s taking no chances against Sevilla this evening. David Raya keeps his place in goal ahead of Aaron Ramsdale while Ben White continues at right-back.
William Saliba lines-up in the Arsenal defence alongside Gabriel Magalhaes once again while Takehiro Tomiyasu starts at left-back with Oleksandr Zinchenko among the substitutes.
Declan Rice gets another taste of Champions League football as he starts in midfield tonight. Jorginho also keeps his place in the middle of the park with Thomas Partey still out.
Martin Odegaard missed the defeat to Newcastle with a knock and remains on the sidelines. Kai Havertz starts in midfield so Fabio Vieira has to settle for a place on the bench.
Bukayo Saka will be hoping to get back to his best form as he starts on the right wing for Arsenal. Gabriel Martinelli lines-up on the opposite flank.
Gabriel Jesus remains on the sidelines with a hamstring injury. Eddie Nketiah has also missed training in recent days after picking up a knock at the weekend and has failed a late fitness test.
That means Leandro Trossard is recalled to start in attack tonight for Arsenal. Youngsters Amario Cozier-Duberry and Charles Sagoe Jr are on the bench.
