Arsenal predicted line-up against Burnley
Arsenal will host the struggling Burnley side at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
After back-to-back defeats against West Ham United and Newcastle United in all competitions, the Gunners have returned to winning ways by beating Sevilla in the Champions League in midweek.
So, Arsenal will be hoping to keep their momentum by defeating Burnley tomorrow ahead of the international break and reduce the gap up top with the league leaders Manchester City.
The North London club are currently fourth in the table with 24 points from 11 games, sitting only three points behind the reigning champions.
Expected Arsenal line-up vs Burnley
David Raya is set to continue between the sticks for Arsenal so, Aaron Ramsdale will have to settle for a place on the bench once again.
Ben White is likely to keep hold of his place in the right-back position and Oleksandr Zinchenko might return on the opposite side after starting on the bench in the last few matches.
William Saliba should commence at the heart of the Gunners’ defence and the Frenchman should be paired up with Gabriel Magalhaes. So, Jakub Kiwior and Takehiro Tomiyasu will have to make do with a place on the bench. Jurrien Timber remains sidelined owing to a serious knee issue.
Thomas Partey has reportedly been ruled out for the rest of this year so he isn’t in contention to feature tomorrow and therefore, Jorginho could continue in the defensive midfield position. Declan Rice should be in the box-to-box role and Kai Havertz is likely to commence just behind the striker. So, Fabrio Vieira will be among the substitutes once again.
Emile Smith Rowe is not available for selection owing to an injury, while Martin Odegaard – who joined the club in a £35m deal – is in doubt due to an issue that has kept him out over the last two games.
Gabriel Jesus may also remain sidelined due to an injury, while Eddie Nketiah is in doubt ahead of this game owing to an injury. So, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka could be the front three for Arsenal in this fixture. Therefore, Reiss Nelson will be among the substitutes tomorrow.
